Can You Afford NOT Being Prepared for an Environmental Audit? - IL

Many different industries can benefit from an environmental audit which is conducted to identify environmental compliance (including federal, state and local regulations), implementation gaps and corrective actions. Whether you are in the construction or manufacturing industry implementing an audit process can potentially uncover your exposure to a financial loss.

During this workshop we will examine several case studies where a prudent auditing process could have mitigated a loss and we will discuss the following:

  • Do you hire an attorney or environmental specialist?
  • What steps are involved?
  • When and how ofter should an audit be conducted?
  • How can an audit protect my company and finances?
  • What are the benefits to self-reporting or pre-reporting a potential problem?

Guest Speakers

Jeffrey D. Jeep, Partner, Jeep & Blazer, LLC
Jeff manages the transactional and administrative areas of Jeep & Blazer. Jeff has a breadth of experience in dealing with environmental laws across the United States and Canada, at the federal, state/provincial and local levels of government. More than providing a depth of knowledge in the field of environmental law, the variety of Jeff's experience has contributed to a strategic insight, a skill in navigating through complexity to achieve the client's objectives in a cost-effective manner. His experience in government makes him equally sensitive to the perspective of the policy maker and politician. The successes on behalf of clients has been due largely to Jeff's ability to identify, and reconcile, competing points of view.
